What we do
We are specialists in measurement and control of temperature, humidity and pressure for different industrial processes. We manufacture electrical temperature sensors - thermocouples and resistance thermometers - according to international standards or responding to special designs for each client.Our goal is to provide advice at all stages of the process: application, design, installation, calibration, commissioning and maintenance. With six decades of specialization in temperature control, we offer excellent service, international quality, and above all, a strong commitment to the needs of our customers.
Our people
Technical and professional development requires a high level of aptitude, commitment and flexibility from our staff. That is why we carry out permanent training in all aspects of our work. In order to continue offering our clients an excellent level of attention and technical support, our staff is trained in our own facilities, in academic institutions and in specialized companies within and outside the country.On the other hand, the sales engineering staff of Sensotec S.A. has extensive experience in technical advice. The production and engineering departments have a deep knowledge of products and applications, and a long history in the development and manufacture of components and complete measuring units. Our staff is trained to provide technical and commercial advice in any of the stages of a project. Training and experience are, then, the factors that make our staff the key to our success.

History
1945
Telemeter began its activities founded by Eduardo Navesnik, in his office and workshop on Calle Independencia 721/25 in the center of the City of Buenos Aires.
1946
Telemeter launches its first product manufactured entirely in Argentina, a moving coil direct current voltmeter for educational purposes for the National Nautical School
1947
The company, with a team of 4 people, expands the line to electrical measuring instruments
1952
He adds what will be his specialty, temperature measurement with electrical sensors, thermocouples, resistance thermometers and optical and radiation pyrometers
1955
The manufacture of pressure instruments, manometers is incorporated
1963
Eduardo Navesnik, founder of the company, dies, his wife Hildegard Krausbeck and their two children will continue. Norberto Navesnik and a few years later Rolando Navesnik
1965
The growth of the company accompanies the industrialization process of the country
1977
A building is acquired on Calle Palpa 3771/73/75 and its remodeling and adaptation begins to be the factory and offices of the company. Argentina is ravaged by the blackest period in Argentine history, the military dictatorship
1979
The production area is moved to the new building. New machinery and equipment are incorporated
1982
The entire sales and administration department is moved to Palpa 3773/71, and Telemeter grows by incorporating 12 people for different areas. This occurs in the middle of our country's war with Great Britain over the Malvinas conflict
1983
The first representation that will decisively influence Telemeter's business from then on joins our activities: M.K Juchheim, JUMO GmbH from Fulda, Germany. The complementation of the two companies will drive the growth of Telemeter. This curiously happens with the recovery of democracy in Argentina
1984
With the ARGOdigit brand, a complete line of digital electronic instruments for temperature measurement is launched on the Argentine market, manufactured in the country by Telemeter
1987
The first piezoresistive pressure transmitter manufactured in Telemeter under license JUMO Germany is launched on the market
The market launch of the first analog-digital recorder produced by JUMO Germany is announced
1988
The company begins to operate in Sao Paulo, Brazil, under the name of «Telemeter Mediçao e Controle»
1990
The company completes its leadership in temperature measurement and control. As well as the incorporation of Fischer & Porter, electromagnetic flowmeter from the USA
1992
Add relative humidity transmitters with capacitive sensors to its portfolio.
It becomes the first manufacturer in our country of this product. The company's workforce reaches a total of 40 people
1994 - 1995
Elsag Bailey acquires Fischer & Porter, and these new products and control systems are added to the Telemeter line, which installs the first distributed control system in a malt plant in Tres Arroyos for the Quilmes Brewery
1996
Telemeter obtains ISO 9001 certification, and is the first national company dedicated to measurement and control to obtain it in Argentina. The metrology laboratory for calibrations is expanding. The company automates the fourth plant in Argentina with Elsag Bailey Process Automation's System Six distributed control system. The staff now numbers 47 people
1997
New represented as Rotronic from Switzerland, measurement of ambient relative humidity are incorporated. The number of employees doubles
A services division is created in the company and begins to offer calibration services in the laboratory and in the plant, through its Metrology laboratory
1998
Telemeter begins to operate in the Venezuelan market, supplying temperature sensors to SIDOR Siderúrgica del Orinoco - Grupo Techint under the name Metring CA
1998
With the proposal to manage Elsag Bailey's products and services, Telemeter founded a new company, Process Automation SA. Obtains the largest order in the history of F&P for 483 magnetic flowmeters for YPF in the province of Santa Cruz
2000
Argentina begins to suffer the most serious economic crisis in its history between 1998 and 2002 with an unprecedented drop in GDP of 16% in that period
2001
The company ceases to operate in the market under the name Telemeter and continues as Sensotec SA with a new corporate composition. From that moment it will cease to be a family company run by the Navesnik family. Enter the Lewinsky family
2003 - 2005
Sensotec manages to re-establish itself in the Argentine market supported by its exports to Latin American markets. While the domestic market slowly recovers. Moves its factory to Constituyentes 4331 in the City of Buenos Aires
2006
It develops and manufactures in conjunction with JUMO Germany special thermocouples for the measurement of temperatures in the nuclear reactor developed by INVAP for ANSTO Australia
2009
Incorporation of Daily Thermetrics of Houston USA (solutions in temperature measurement for oil & gas) as a represented company
2009
Norberto Navesnik, one of the initiating partners of Sensotec SA and one of the two sons of the founder of Telemeter, a technological reference of the company in the last 45 years, dies.
The 2009 world crisis greatly affects local activity, exports remain stable
2011
It develops and manufactures special thermocouples for the measurement of temperature in channels, for the glass industry. It becomes the only national manufacturer of this type of temperature sensor and begins to export it. Temperature measurement solutions are developed through contact and non-contact measurement for that industry
2012
It is involved in the repair project for Blast Furnace No. 2 in Siderar San Nicolás, with the provision of temperature sensors with the largest volume in its history and in record time given the imminence of the furnace startup
2013
Faced with the fall of the Venezuelan market due to the political and economic problems of that country, it was decided to increase the presence in the Chilean markets. Peru and Bolivia
2014
It develops and manufactures special thermocouples for the cement industry. Temperature measurement solutions are developed through contact and non-contact measurement for that industry
2015
One of the Lewinsky partners retires from the company and his place is taken by Inversiones Omega Chile SPA., A member of Grupo Omega, a group to which Ing y Comp. Belongs, and a representative of Sensotec in Chile since 2005. With his entry it is facilitated Sensotec's progress in the Chilean market, and it is also complemented in Central American markets

The company's facilities are moved to its new building at Estomba 831 and it leaves the factory on Constituyentes Street. The management of the company is shared by the 3rd generation of the Navesnik family. Joins the board of directors as President Carol Navesnik

Despite the bad economic times suffered by the Argentine industry in general, Sensotec continues to advance technologically and commercially. A CRM system is launched for sales management, to streamline processes and improve delivery times. State-of-the-art production technology and temperature measurement equipment are acquired for the metrology laboratory
